Input Sensor And Actuator On Vehicle

Checking sensors n actautors

Checking the voltages for the fuel inejctors was 14v beacause to check if the fuel injector is working and also check the voltage is suppply and also the firing. If it a lower voltages at the injectors than the battery it means the injectors doesnt have a good contact and injectiing. if one lower than all the 3 injectors it wil affec the engine and it wil casuese problems.

Reference Voltages at TPS sensors

i was testing the TPS on cars by intersting the pin down to the wire nt into the wire bt the corners to far as the metel wire terminals then i used the muiltmter then i turn the engine on but not running and the voltages was 4.91 so it nearlly 5v

if the power was supply over 5v then somtign wrong it . it could be the bad earth or it nt fit in well proply.

Ground at TPS sensors

same as the above but differnt place to pin it and find the readings for it so for this one i set ma muliter to scale 4v and turn the engine on and found the readings for the ground it was 0.02v so it a good ground because i have check the manufacturs it bit same. if the ECU ground is not good it wont work well and the engine wil heat up qiuckly n damaged it if there aint good earth.

Throttle Position Sensor Return/ output

checking on the linear on engine in the classroom

wiring up and pin in the TPS input by inserting a pin down onto the insluations and dont damaged it  and i turn my meter to dc volts
i turn the igniton on nt the engine runnnig so when my meter was son i got the reading bit stranged so i try again it was wrong bcasuse i didnt put the pin right in proply finally it works! i got the reading was 0.5v. atfer tthat i turn the throttle half way  and the meter was reading was 1.5v the next bit is full open postiton and the reading was 2.7v. then doing the slowly open and it the reasing was slowly increasing soo it was okay. and the colour of the wire was blue.
The TPS sensor works like this on the throttle body and convert the throttle valve angle into electical singal as then throttle open and voltage single opens , through the voltage sensor to ECU the close is 0,05 and the open one is 3.7v

Throttle Position Switches

that located in the vehilce close the throttle pistions

idle wire is blue
volts at idk is 1.0v
volts at part throttle or open throttle is 12v
wide open throttle wire colour is green
volts at idle or part throttle is 0v
volts at open throttle is 3.7v
ECU proprly run the engine? Depend on how mch air and also the temperature of the einovirment that can affect the ECU and the engine.

ECT the engine coolant temperature sensors

ECT is to control the coolant temperature same the MAP sensor  but differnt componests so i have back probe the wires for the ECT  and turn the igniton on  and i turn my meter to DC volts and found the reading was 1.076  it depend on the engine how hot is it and how cold is it at the moment the engine is running warm and the tempture does meet the spefiecation of the ECT  so atfer two minutes the reading was 0.6 of voltages for ECT sensors

When the engine is warmer it normally shows a lower voltages if it really cold the reading wil be high than the warm engine.  ECT sensor voltages affect the fuel injections of the output of the Ecu well it showing the how mch temperature in the coolants and it telling the Ecu then they know how mch they need for injected.

Ground Coolant Temperature Sensor
locating the earth of the ECT same thing putting the pins and make sure dont damage it and turn the mulltermeter to 4vs n put the black lead on the battery of negative. and i got the reading 6.6v
i Tested and the ground was soo bad it mean to be 0.05 to meet the spefications if it was wrong it wil effet the ECT n the ECU so the ECT could be blown up or over heated.

RPM Sensor back probe with the pins of the RPM Sensors on the main board because  hard to test the crank postions. so i turn the AC volts on and got the reading 0.7v atfer that i rev the engine to 2500 rpm and reading came up to 0.779 then i let go of the throttle and turn down to 0.711 of DC volts. atfer that i turned the voltemter to Hz and the reading was 0.164 atfer that i rev up to 2500 rpm and the reading was 0.3 and the rpm sensor was working on Hz

RPM sensors works that provide information for the ECU and showing how mch RPM you going for and how fast you going for  using the muitlermeter it showin how mch RPM im using it same and shoiwin like on the cars on the dashboar if it goes wrong then it wil be no singal for the dashboard so you wont know how mch RPM that you are using.

that a pic of the RPM sensors

MAP Sensors

MAP is a Manifdold Absolute Postions

same things using the back probe n using the pins on the MAP and ingiton on and turn the voltmeter to DC volts so i used the red lead on the MAP and black ones goes on earth of the battery and ig ot the reading 4.9v when i turn on the engine on o idle the reading was 1.4v  then i used the throttle and short pressed and got the reading is 3.5v

Vc= 5v
PIM=singal
E2=ground

higher  asbosulte rpessure in the tintake mafifold increasses the air denstity and turn more fuel can eb burned in the higher output.and also caulcauted how mch the air comes through the engine. i think al the reading i caulcted is all right because u can see the reading everytime when i rev it up or idle.

IAT Air temperature

same thing back probe and pin down  turning the meter to DC volts n using red lead on the pin n the black pin in the battery of negtive. got the reading it 2.2v once i failed then i tried again and and puttin the pin bit deeper and i got the reading 2.2v and it more than ECT readings and the IAT is hotter than the ECT sensors.

The Intake Air Temperaturesensor resistene chang in the intake air temperature. the sensor resistance decreases as the power of the air temperature increases. This provides a signal indicating the temperature of the incoming air charge depend how big is the pot filters and how cleans it it. IAT sensor to loose connections, bad ground , high resistance in the circuit or opens in the circuit
